when you take the scale of the weld it a nice silver color ,but the 211 is back looking after you take the scale of the weld. i did buy a new roll when i set up the welder the first time some like that and it is 10 time better then the 211 wire. one more thing the roll of wire that came with the welder they call it is no good at all. I will tell him i need it to take it a part to learn or to fix then lol. so i will go back to the store and ask the guy if he want to sell me my old cable for 25.00 lol. so after i took all the little peices out of there no more problem. so after i took a closer look i saw that the other cable was still good because yesterday the wire never went in the liner at all it was stuck at the brass connection. the wire did not want to pass the brass fitting were the cable connect the roller part. this morning when i set up my new gun assembly in my mig. Can get alot of stuff of old hvsc furnace curcuit boards and stats if you you want to save alot of $. Does anyone happen to know if it's even possible to get that stuff individually from lincoln, or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and have some duplicates of stuff? My welder has a good liner, I already have a variety of tips for different size wire, and I already have a 10-pound spool of solid core wire, and I think I may already have a regulator lying around somewhere.īasically I'd rather not buy stuff I already have, and just purchase the solenoid, internal hose, and the few couplings and external hose I need. The problem is the conversion kit seems to come with a new liner, new tips, and a 2 pound spool of wire. So it's getting annoying dealing with spatter, having difficulty welding thin metal and paying twice as much per pound of wire, so I've decided to just convert my machine to MIG, since it's "MIG Ready". However, recently I've starting doing a lot of projects with thinner metal, and where the external appearance of the welds is important. I know there's probably not much love for these little 115v flux-core MIG boxes around here, but I got the thing as a gift over 6 years ago, and up until now, it's generally done all I asked of it.
